Sharing is caring!

The other day, I came running down the stairs to Dad’s office crying.

I was playing with our dog Storm on my bed. One of her bones was on the bed with us on top of my blanket. She started to jump around as I was playing with her, and the bone flew up in the air. It hit me in the face.

I’m normally not want to cry at little things, but this really hurt. Her bone hit me on the bridge of my nose. Because she has chewed on the bone so much, the edges are kind of sharp.

It is funny now…

When I think back at it, it is quite funny. I wasn’t laughing at the moment. Like most things, it can be fixed.

Luckily, it happened on Good Friday. I was home from school, and would be until Tuesday morning. Needless to say, I threw the bone out, as I don’t want the sharp edges hurting her, and she has lots of other bones to chew on.

Bio-Oil is a skin care oil that helps in the healing and appearance of scars and stretch marks. It has won numerous awards, and is the number one selling scar and stretch mark product in 24 countries since being launched globally in 2002.

My Dad has been using Bio-Oil for the scar on his face from his surgery. He had a keratoacanthoma, which is a type of skin cancer. Because it was a growth, he had it removed.

My Mom even used Bio-Oil after a surgery she had that left a scar. While I don’t think this will leave a big scar or anything, I figured I would give it a shot to see if it would help heal the wound.

Bio-Oil is meant to put on scars, and not on open wounds. I waited until the wound had healed before using the Bio-Oil, as it is not recommended to be used on broken skin or open wounds.

I started using Bio-Oil the day after my run-in with the flying bone. I applied the oil on my nose, and massaged it in using circular motions.

Bio-Oil is made up of plant extracts and vitamins in an oil base. It is light and non-greasy, thanks to PurCellin Oil. This oil aids in the product being absorbed into your skin.

Lavandula Angustifolia Oil (Lavender Oil)
Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil (Rosemary Oil)
Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil (Chamomile Oil)

Bio-Oil works!

My Dad’s scar is healing really well. At his follow-up visit with the surgeon, she mentioned how well it was healing. My Dad told her he had been using Bio-Oil. She smiled and said, “good job!”

I’m hoping the cut on my nose won’t scar. If it does, I will be using Bio-Oil to minimize the appearance of the scar.
