The Shrine Circus is Coming!

The Shrine Circus is Coming!

Sharing is caring!

As a kid, I never got to experience the circus. I am not sure if it just never came to our area, or if my parents were just not interested. Either way, it was something that I never real thought of… until a few years ago. Wendy and I had only been together a couple years, when the newspaper i worked for ran a series of ads for SkyDome (now known as the Rogers Centre) to announce the circus. I was offered free tickets to check it out. I thought, what the heck, it’s a free night out!

Wendy and I went to see the circus, and had a lot of fun! We were both amazed at all the acrobatics and stunts.

Fast forward to 2013 – the Shrine Circus is in town, and we have 2 girls that have never experienced anything like it!

So… while Wendy is away at BlogHer in Chicago, I am taking the girls to the Oakville stop of the Shrine Circus!

2013 marks 250 years of Zerbini Family Circus History. You can look forward to a fresh mix of awesome entertainment in a traditional circus setting, all under Canada’s largest and most beautiful big top!

There will be the largest display of tigers in North America, clowns, flying acrobats, unicyclists, a trapeze performance, high-flying action on the Russian swing, and performing elephants. Ringmaster Richard Curtis will open and close the show.

If you would like to go, please use this link to purchase tickets! If you enter in the coupon code “FUN” here – you will receive 50% off your ticket!

You can also enter to win a Family trip for 4 to vacation with the elephants in Florida by entering here.

I will be sure to do a follow up blog post with pictures from the event, my kids reaction, and my thoughts.
