A Year in Pictures: Our Instagram Memories from 2022!

29 Dec 2022
2022 has come and gone and I must say, it’s been a pretty interesting year.
Rachel graduated from high school, and we are so proud of her. She returned to high school for a gap year to take a co-op course in the field she wishes to go into. She is really enjoying it, and looking forward to attending university next Fall.
Lauren continued to excel in rep volleyball. She enjoyed beach volleyball in the summer, but saw that there were going to be some coaching changes in the Fall, so she tried out for another organization and was presented with an offer, which she gladly accepted. She is now playing at a higher level and is enjoying herself. As well, she alos made the junior girls volleyball team at her highschool, and has been enjoying her time with the team!
I got to travel to some amazing places. A bucket list trip to Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lake Charles, and Lafayette Louisiana.
Wendy and I travelled to Halifax and spent a week together for our 20th anniversary. After she flew home, I attended the Travel Media Association of Canada conference in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia which had very interesting pre and post tours. I then continued my trip in the East Coast by spending some time in New Brunswick, where I visited 23 of the provinces 58 covered bridges. When I got back, Wendy and I took a weekend escape to experience The Tunnel in Niagara Falls.
After these amazing press trips, I got prepared for a cornea transplant and subsequent recovery process. This has been tough on me, both physically and mentally. The road to recovery is going to be a long one.
I also travelled to Waterloo Region, Thousand Islands, and Ottawa, as well as a road trip to Hamilton with TMAC’s Ontario Chapter.
While I did travel to quite a few places this year, it was also the first year ever I have spent both Father’s Day and my birthday away from my family. We did celebrate when I got home!
There were also some very special moments in 2022. We continued to spend a lot of quality time together as a family, and had quite a few awesome Rock Band nights!
Here are some select Instagram photos from a wonderful year!
