Sharing is caring!

October 31st will soon be upon us, and our girls are in full “We need to get Halloween costumes” mode.

Rachel and Lauren have always been just as excited for Halloween as Wendy and I are. We love Halloween.

Here’s a rundown of their costumes to date:

In 2007, Rachel went as a Scarecrow. Wendy made this costume.

In 2008, Lauren went as a Pumpkin, and Rachel went as Snow White.

In 2009, Rachel went as a Princess, and Lauren went as a Witch.

In 2010, Lauren went as Snow White (the same costume Rachel wore in 2008), and Rachel went as Pirate.

In 2011, Rachel went as a Devil, and Lauren went as Minnie Mouse.

In 2012, Rachel went as a Zombie (which she made with Wendy’s help), and Lauren went as Izzy from jake and the Neverland Pirates. Lauren came up with this all on her own, with clothes she already had.

In 2013, Lauren went as Abbey Bominable from Monster High, and Rachel went as a Dark Bride.

In 2014, Lauren went as a Witch, and Rachel went as a Vampire.

In 2015, Rachel went as an 80s Girl, and Lauren went as Maddy Hatter from Ever After High.

And that’s me… because the kids can’t have all the fun… and treats!

Ideas for Costumes?

So many shows on Netflix can inspire your next costume.

Kid Costumes:
• Ever After High
• Hotel Transylvania
• Home
• Inside Out

Adult Costumes:
• Deadpool
• Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, etc)
• Ghostbusters (either the new female cast, or the original cast)
• National Lampoon’s Animal House (toga party!)
• Texas Chainsaw Massacre (make sure the chainsaw is not functional)

Have fun with it, but don’t clown around/

Whatever you decide, have fun with it. That’s what Halloween is all about. Once a year, you get to dress up, laugh a lot, scare some people, do some tricks, and get some treats. Dress up in whatever makes you happy!

Although, if a clown costume makes you happy, you may want to avoid dressing up as one this year.
