Have Your Memories Printed on Canvas with BestCanvas Canada!

The amazing thing about pictures is they not only speak a thousand words, but they are invaluable memories that cannot be replaced. It reminds you of places you have been, and the the story that accompanies that location or event.
But in the digital age we now live in, more and more people post the pictures they take to social media or just keep them stored, rather than get them printed.
We too have been guilty of this. I take a ton of pictures, and save them all on hard drives at home, with back-up copies saved to our off-site RAID and cloud storage.
This year alone, I went to Colorado and Philadelphia, took over 5000 photos of my travels, and have yet to print even one photo.
In the past, when I was shooting with a film camera, I would be much more selective, have everything printed, and showcase them in a photo album. Now, I try to get the perfect shot, but also take as many as I can. Just in case someone’s eyes are closed, someone walks in front of the shot, or if the light is just not right. I can usually fix these issues later in Photoshop, but having many photos allows me greater freedom in the editing stage.

When BestCanvas Canada reached out to ask if I would like to review their products, I was ecstatic! I have always admired canvas prints at friend’s places, but have never got any printed myself. Well that was about to change.
But I wanted something different. I wanted something that was very personal to Wendy and I. So I designed something to commemorate our relationship. Taking an idea I saw online, I created an image of where we met, where I proposed to her, and where we got married, all with dates and maps. As Wendy is a cartographer, I knew she would love this.
Ordering is quite simple:
• Visit BestCanvas.ca
• Click on the orange “Create Canvas” button
• Upload your digital file
Once the file has completed uploading, you will see a list of formats listed.
• Click on the size you want
• Choose your frame (.75” standard, 1.5” XXL)
• Choose edge design (folded, stretched, mirrored, black, white)
• Choose frame type and colour (none, premium, decor)
• Choose effect (none, black and white)
If you are only ordering one print, click on the orange “Continue To Shopping Cart” button in the bottom right. This will take you to the shopping cart. For the print we ordered, I needed to add in the mounting hardware. This is where you would do it. The suggestion for the hardware will appear under the print. You just need to click to add it to the cart and then add in your payment and shipping info when prompted.
Note: If you would like to order more prints, click on the white snd orange “Continue & Upload Another Photo” button.
Once these steps are completed… view the image on the right
• Drag and zoom until your image is just how you want it
Note: Some of these options are an additional cost, and will reflect in your subtotal at the bottom right below the image of your file.

When our canvas prints arrived, I was amazed at the quality. The print was beautiful, the canvas was stretched around the frame as I had ordered it, and the frame was solid and sturdy. I ordered the hanging hardware to mount it on the wall, which was quite easy to install.
The look on Wendy’s face when I gave it to her was priceless.
We take a lot of pictures, but it has been a while since we had some printed. A long while. The kids were much younger.
