An Amazing Culinary Experience at Lighthouse 45 Restaurant

Doing a weekend escape is usually about getting away from your daily routine, rest and relaxation, and wanting to be pampered while away. But have you ever gone to a destination just for the food? We try to base our getaways on a few things: Accommodations, activities (mainly for the kids), things to do in the area, and food. At Rawley Resort, the latter is truly a highlight that needs to be experienced.
Food quality is top notch at Rawley. There are no breakfast buffets or stations. Take a look at the fine offerings on the breakfast menu at Lighthouse 45 Restaurant, served from 8:00am to 10:30am:

Served with 2 Eggs any style, with a choice of Smoked Bacon, Ham or Sausage alongside Yukon Gold Potatoes and Toast

2 Poached Eggs with a choice of Peameal Bacon, Ham or Wilted Spinach, topped with house made Hollandaise Sauce alongside Yukon Gold Potatoes

Served with Pure Ontario Maple Syrup

We were ready for a fine dining experience at Lighthouse 45 Restaurant. Walking on to the restaurant, there was a gentleman playing the piano, and singing some classic hits that we spent our dinner singing along to. It made the experience a lot of fun!
We started our dinner off with fresh Focaccia bread with olive oil, balsamic reduction, and rosemary dip. Delicious!

We just happened to have booked our weekend on the same weekend Rawley Resort was having their 2018 LobsterFest. To say we were delighted would be an understatement! Here is the LobsterFest menu:
Poached lobster, red grapefruit, avocado, heritage greens mix, Champagne vinaigrette
Traditional purée, crème fraiche quenelle, crispy leeks
Roasted red pepper, avocado, celery, chive & Chardonnay Aioli on sweet sandwich roll
Two fried lobster cakes, citrus mayonnaise, kale micro sprouts
Lobster Mac & Cheese
Fusilli pasta, lobster meat, aged smoked cheddar & Gouda, Panko-crusted
Surf and Turf
8oz seared medium-rare tenderloin with red wine demi-glace & 5oz broiled Caribbean lobster tail, garlic whipped potatoes, summer vegetables
Lighthouse 45 has a fully stocked bar of premium liquor, local and craft beer, and a huge selection of wine. If you don’t want to choose a cocktail for yourself, ask your server, and they will be sure to recommend something that will pair well with your dish.

Dining at Rawley Resort’s Lighthouse 45 Restaurant is a wonderful experience! Not only are the dishes well plated… they are prepared with passion, served with care, and are absolutely mouth-watering. Our whole family was able to find something we really wanted to try on the menu at all of our meals. With a family of picky eaters, that is pretty tough to find!
The food at Lighthouse 45 Restaurant is delicious. I would highly recommend eating here if staying at Rawley Resort. If you are in the area, and not staying at Rawley, make reservations and check it out. You won’t be disappointed!
