Nepal Trekking Season

Winter

Winter happens from mid December to February. The mornings and nights are typically cold and foggy, yet evenings are normally clear and warm when the sun is out. Snowfall happens at higher altitudes, and it gets increasingly colder with the temperatures diminishing continuously. For this reason, it is optimal to trek and climb in lower rise. In the event that you cannot stand the chilly climate, trekking in Nepal in the colder Winter season may not be for you.

Spring

Spring occurs between March and May, with temperatures somewhat warm in the swamps and moderate at higher heights. Chances of clear mountain views are optimal. Additionally, it is the ideal opportunity for flowers to bloom. The national blossom of Nepal, rhododendrons, coat the mountainsides with its beauty all through the season.

Summer

The summer months from June to mid-September include the storm season. Trekking in the Summer season is usually wet, but warm. These conditions are useful for the avid nature lover, with rich vegetation and flowers in bloom. The summer months are not an optional time for trekking in Nepal.

Autumn

Autumn season in Nepal is from late September to November. This season is considered the best climate for trekking in Nepal. It is travelling season, so flights and trek bookings are reserved long in advance. Amid this season, evenings are cold and the days are warm. Mornings are normally clear. Mists develop and vanish during the evenings. The starry skies make it ideal conditions for trekking in Nepal.
