11 Family-Friendly Things To Do in Niagara Falls Canada

29 Mar 2022
Niagara Falls is one of my favourite places! I used to visit all the time as a kid, and when I was old enough to drive, would take road trips there and spend countless hours playing tourist along Clifton Hill. There is so much to see and do, and every trip there can be completely different. Lots of new attractions, and many classic ones. And of course, the thunderous and beautiful Canadian, American, and Bridal Veil Falls!
Here is a list of 11 fun and family-friendly things to do in Niagara Falls Canada!
Niagara Speedway
Everyone loves go-karts… but these take it to a whole new level! If you are a fan of Nintendo’s Mario Kart, you will love this experience. Go-karts fly around 2000ft of racing track reaching speeds of 32 km/hr, up a four-story helical spiral, down a two-tiered coaster style ramp, then down another spiral. It’s the fun of go-karting and the thrill of riding a roller coaster all rolled into one fun experience!

Whirlpool Aero Car
After the water flows over Niagara Falls, it rushes down through the narrow Niagara Gorge before taking a sudden turn counter-clockwise turn. This turn in the rushing of the class six rapids creates the Niagara Whirlpool. One of the best ways to get a very cool view of the whirlpool is from the Whirlpool Aero Car. This cable car attraction has been in operation since 1916, and travels 3500 ft above the whirlpool.
Even though the Whirlpool Aero Car travels between two points in Canada, it actually travels over the Canada and US international border 4 times on it’s trip to Thompson Point and back.
Location
The Whirlpool Aero Car is located at 3850 Niagara Pkwy in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Skylon Tower
Looking for a higher perspective of Niagara Falls without staying at one of the hotels overlooking the Falls? You’ll get those views from the Skylon Tower. Date night? Reserve a table at the world-famous Revolving Dining Room Restaurant, and enjoy an intimate meal as the deck revolves 360 degrees every hour. For a more family friendly option, choose the Summit Suite Buffet Dining Room restaurant. Both of these dining options are 775 feet above the Falls!

Likely the main reason you want to visit Niagara Falls is to see the falls themselves! As Canadians, we have the best views of all three falls – Canadian, American, and Bridal Veil Falls. Whether staying in a hotel that overlooks the falls, or just walking along Niagara Pkwy, you will be amazed by the power and beauty of Niagara Falls.
